ج، الإحتجاج عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص بَعَثَ سَعْدَ بْنَ مُعَاذٍ بِرَايَةِ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى خَيْبَرَ فَرَجَعَ مُنْهَزِماً ثُمَّ بَعَثَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ بِرَايَةِ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ فَأُتِيَ بِسَعْدٍ جَرِيحاً وَ جَاءَ عُمَرُ يُجَبِّنُ أَصْحَابَهُ وَ يُجَبِّنُونَهُ
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص هَكَذَا تَفْعَلُ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَ الْأَنْصَارُ حَتَّى قَالَهَا ثَلَاثاً ثُمَّ قَالَ لَأُعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ رَجُلًا لَيْسَ بِفَرَّارٍ يُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ وَ يُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَ رَسُولَهُ.
(The book) ‘Al-Ihtijaj’ – ‘From Abu Ja’far-asws having said: ‘Rasool-Allah-saww sent Sa’ad Bin Muaz the Helper to Khyber. He returned defeated. Then he-saww Umar Bin Al-Khattab with a flag of the Emigrants. They had come back with Sa’ad having been injured, and Umar came accusing his companions of cowardice and they accused him of cowardice. Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘Like this the Emigrants and the Helpers are doing? – until he-saww had said it thrice. Then he-saww said: ‘I-saww will give the flag to a man who isn’t a fleer. Allah-azwj and His-azwj Rasool-saww love him-asws, and he-asws loves Allah-azwj and His-azwj Rasool-saww’’. [8]
