(The book) ‘Kashf Al Yaqeen’, from the book ‘Al Ma’rifa’ of Ibrahim Bin Muhammad Al Saqafi, from usman Bin Sa’ad, from Muhammad Bin Kaseer, from Ismail Bin Ziyad, from Abu Idrees, from Nafie a slave of Ayesha who said, ‘I was a servant of Ayesha and I was a boy obeying them whenever Rasool-Allah-saww was with her. While Rasool-Allah-saww was with Ayesha, when a comer came and knocked on the door. I went out to it, and there was a girl having a covered utensil with her. I returned and informed her. She said, ‘Let her enter’. She entered and placed it in front of Ayesha, and Ayesha placed it in front of Rasool-Allah-saww. He-saww extended his-saww hand to eat, then said, ‘If only Amir Al-Momineen and chief of the Muslims had been present, he would have eaten with me’. Ayesha said, ‘And who is Amir Al-Momineen? ’ He-saww was silent. She repeated to ask, but he-saww was silent. Then a comer came and knocked on the door I went out to it, and there was Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws. I returned to the Prophet-saww and informed him-saww. He-saww said: ‘Let him-asws enter’. I opened the door for him and he-asws entered. He-saww said: ‘Welcome and hello! I-saww had been wishing to the extent that if you-asws had been delayed unto me-saww, I-saww would have asked Allah-azwj to Bring you-asws. Be seated, and eat! ’ He-asws sat down and ate. Rasool-Allah-saww said: ‘May Allah-azwj Fight against the one who fights you-asws, and one who is inimical to you-asws’. Then he-saww was silent, then repeated it. Ayesha said, ‘Who will fight against him-asws, and who will be inimical to him-asws? ’ He-saww said: ‘You and the ones with you! You and the ones with you! ’’[102]
