قَالَ نَصْرٌ وَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً ع خَطَبَ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ فَقَالَ مَعَاشِرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ اسْتَشْعِرُوا الْخَشْيَةَ إِلَى آخِرِ مَا سَيَأْتِي بِطُولِهِ وَ بِالْإِسْنَادِ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً خَطَبَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ذِكْرُهُ قَدْ دَلَّكُمْ عَلى تِجارَةٍ تُنْجِيكُمْ مِنْ عَذابٍ أَلِيمٍ إِيمَانٍ بِاللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِهِ وَ جِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ إلى آخر ما سيأتي برواية المفيد رحمه الله
ثم قام قيس بن سعد و خطب خطبة بليغة حث الناس فيها على الجهاد. ثم قام الأشتر رضي الله عنه بمثل ذلك و كذا يزيد بن قيس الأرحبي و غيرهم.
Nasr said, ‘And it is narrated to us by Umar Bin Sa’ad, from Abdul Raghman Bin Abu Amro, from his father, ‘Ali-asws addressed on this day. He-asws said: ‘Community of Muslims! Be aware of the fear’ – up to the end of what I (Majlisi) shall be coming with its lengthy and with the chain that Ali-asws addressed that day. He-asws said: ‘O you people! Allah-azwj, Exalted is His-azwj Mention has Pointed you all to a trade rescuing you from a painful Punishment [61: 10] – Eman with Allah-azwj and His-azwj Rasool-saww, and Jihad in His-azwj Way’ – up to the end of what I (Majlisi) shall be coming with, by a report of Al-Mufeed. Then Qays Bin Sa’ad stood up and addressed eloquently urging the people in it upon the Jihad. Then Al-Ashtar stood up with similar to that, and like that was Yazeed Bin Qays Al-Arhy and others’’. [13]
