ما، الأمالي للشيخ الطوسي جَمَاعَةٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَرْزَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ أَبِي الْيَقْظَانِ عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ زَاذَانَ قَالَ: لَمَّا وَادَعَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ع مُعَاوِيَةَ صَعِدَ مُعَاوِيَةُ الْمِنْبَرَ وَ جَمَعَ النَّاسَ فَخَطَبَهُمْ وَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ رَآنِي لِلْخِلَافَةِ أَهْلًا وَ لَمْ يَرَ نَفْسَهُ لَهَا أَهْلًا
وَ كَانَ الْحَسَنُ ع أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ بِمِرْقَاةٍ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ كَلَامِهِ قَامَ الْحَسَنُ ع فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْمُبَاهَلَةَ فَقَالَ فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مِنَ الْأَنْفُسِ بِأَبِي وَ مِنَ الْأَبْنَاءِ بِي وَ بِأَخِي وَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ بِأُمِّي وَ كُنَّا أَهْلَهُ وَ نَحْنُ آلُهُ وَ هُوَ مِنَّا وَ نَحْنُ مِنْهُ
وَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ آيَةُ التَّطْهِيرِ جَمَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص فِي كِسَاءٍ لِأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا خَيْبَرِيٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَ عِتْرَتِي فَأَذْهِبْ عَنْهُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَ طَهِّرْهُمْ تَطْهِيراً فَلَمْ يَكُنْ أَحَدٌ فِي الْكِسَاءِ غَيْرِي وَ أَخِي وَ أَبِي وَ أُمِّي
وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَحَدٌ تُصِيبُهُ جَنَابَةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَ يُولَدُ فِيهِ إِلَّا النَّبِيُّ ص وَ أَبِي تَكْرِمَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ لَنَا وَ تَفْضِيلًا مِنْهُ لَنَا وَ قَدْ رَأَيْتُمْ مَكَانَ مَنْزِلِنَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ أَمَرَ بِسَدِّ الْأَبْوَابِ فَسَدَّهَا وَ تَرَكَ بَابَنَا فَقِيلَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنِّي لَمْ أَسُدَّهَا وَ أَفْتَحْ بَابَهُ وَ لَكِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَسُدَّهَا وَ أَفْتَحَ بَابَهُ
وَ إِنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ زَعَمَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ لِلْخِلَافَةِ أَهْلًا وَ لَمْ أَرَ نَفْسِي لَهَا أَهْلًا فَكَذَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ نَحْنُ أَوْلَى بِالنَّاسِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ ص وَ لَمْ نَزَلْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ مَظْلُومِينَ مُنْذُ قَبَضَ اللَّهُ نَبِيَّهُ ص
فَاللَّهُ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَ مَنْ ظَلَمَنَا حَقَّنَا وَ تَوَثَّبَ عَلَى
(The book) ‘Al Amaali’ of the sheykh Al Tusi – A group, from Abu Al Mufazzal, from Abdul Rahman Bin Ubeydullah Al Arzamy, from his father, from Ammar Abu Al Yaqzan, from Abu Umar Zazan who said, ‘When Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws bade farewell to Muawiya, Muawiya ascended the pulpit and gathered the people. He addressed them and said, ‘Al-Hassan-asws Bin Ali-asws saw me as being rightful for the caliphate and he-asws did not see himself-asws as being rightful for it! ’
And Al-Hassan-asws was lower than him by a step. When he was free from his speech, Al-Hassan-asws stood up. He-asws praised Allah-azwj the Exalted with what He-azwj is rightful of. Then he-asws mentioned the imprecation (Mubahila). He-asws said: ‘Rasool-Allah-saww came with, from the ‘self’ with my-asws father-asws, and from the ‘sons’ with me-asws and with my-asws brother-asws, and from the ‘women’ with my-asws mother-asws, and we-asws were his-saww family, and he-saww is from us-asws and we-asws are from him-saww. And when the Verse of Purification (33: 33) was Revealed, Rasool-Allah-saww gathered us in a Khyberi cloak of Umm Salamara, may Allah-azwj be Pleased from her-asws, then said: ‘O Allah‑azwj! They-asws are People-asws of my-saww Household, and my-saww family, so Keep the uncleanness away from them-asws and Purify them-asws with a Purification’. So, there did not happen to be anyone in the cloak apart from me-asws, and my-asws brother-asws, and my-asws father-asws. And there did not happen to be anyone having been hit by sexual impurity in the Masjid and giving birth in it, except the Prophet-saww, and my-asws father-asws, being an Honour from Allah-azwj to us-asws, and a Merit from Him-azwj for us-asws. And you have seen the position of our-asws status from Rasool-Allah-saww. And he-saww ordered with the closure of the door, so these were closed, and he-saww left our-asws door open. It was said to him-saww regarding that. He-saww said: ‘But, I-saww did not close these, and kept his-asws door open, but Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic had Commanded me-saww to close these and keep his-asws door open’. And Muawiya has claimed to you all that I-asws see him as rightful for the caliphate, and I-asws do not see myself-asws as rightful for it. Muawiya has lied! We-asws are foremost by the people in the Book of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic, and upon the tongue of His-azwj Prophet-saww, and the People-asws of the Household have not ceased to be oppressed since Allah-azwj Recalled His‑azwj Prophet-saww.
