نهج، نهج البلاغة قِيلَ إِنَّ الْحَارِثَ بْنَ حَوْطٍ أَتَاهُ ع فَقَالَ أَ تَرَانِي أَظُنُّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَمَلِ كَانُوا عَلَى ضَلَالَةٍ
فَقَالَ يَا حَارِ إِنَّكَ نَظَرْتَ تَحْتَكَ وَ لَمْ تَنْظُرْ فَوْقَكَ فَحِرْتَ إِنَّكَ لَمْ تَعْرِفِ الْحَقَّ فَتَعْرِفَ أَهْلَهُ وَ لَمْ تَعْرِفِ الْبَاطِلَ فَتَعْرِفَ مَنْ أَتَاهُ
فَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ فَإِنِّي أَعْتَزِلُ مَعَ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ سَعْداً وَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَنْصُرَا الْحَقَّ وَ لَمْ يَخْذُلَا الْبَاطِلَ.
(The book) ‘Nahj Al-Balagah’ – It was said, ‘Al-Haris Bin Hawt came to him-asws and said, ‘What is your-asws view? I think the companions of the camel were upon a straying’. He-asws said: ‘O Har (Haris)! You are looking below and are not looking above you (to your Imam-asws) so you are confused. You did not recognise the truth so how you could have recognised its people, and you did not recognise the falsehood so how you could have recognised who has come with’. Al-Haris said, ‘Then I shall isolate myself along with Sa’ad Bin Malik and Abdullah Bin Umar’. He-asws said: ‘Sa’ad and Abdullah Bin Umar did not help the truth and did not forsake the falsehood’’.
