يج، الخرائج و الجرائح رُوِيَ أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ كَانَ لَهُمْ عُرْسٌ فَجَاءُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص وَ قَالُوا لَنَا حَقُّ الْجِوَارِ فَنَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تَبْعَثَ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَكَ إِلَى دَارِنَا حَتَّى يَزْدَادَ عُرْسُنَا بِهَا وَ أَلَحُّوا عَلَيْهِ
فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا زَوْجَةُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَ هِيَ بِحُكْمِهِ وَ سَأَلُوهُ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ فِي ذَلِكَ وَ قَدْ جَمَعَ الْيَهُودُ الطِّمَّ وَ الرِّمَ مِنَ الْحُلِيِّ وَ الْحُلَلِ وَ ظَنَّ الْيَهُودُ أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ تَدْخُلُ فِي بِذْلَتِهَا وَ أَرَادُوا اسْتِهَانَةً بِهَا
فَجَاءَ جَبْرَئِيلُ بِثِيَابٍ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَ حُلِيٍّ وَ حُلَلٍ لَمْ يَرَوْا مِثْلَهَا فَلَبِسَتْهَا فَاطِمَةُ وَ تَحَلَّتْ بِهَا فَتَعَجَّبَ النَّاسُ مِنْ زِينَتِهَا وَ أَلْوَانِهَا وَ طِيبِهَا
فَلَمَّا دَخَلَتْ فَاطِمَةُ دَارَ الْيَهُودِ سَجَدَ لَهَا نِسَاؤُهُمْ يُقَبِّلْنَ الْأَرْضَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَ أَسْلَمَ بِسَبَبِ مَا رَأَوْا خَلْقٌ كَثِيرٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ.
(The book) ‘Al Kharaij Wa Al Jaraih’ –
‘The Jews had a wedding for them, so they came to Rasool-Allah-saww and said, ‘There is a neighbourly right for us to ask you-saww, if you-saww could send your-saww daughter-asws (Syeda) Fatima-asws to our house until our wedding can be increased by her-asws’, and they insisted upon it. He-saww said: ‘She-asws is the wife of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws, and she-asws is with his-asws decision’. And they asked him-saww to intercede to Ali-asws regarding that. And the Jews had gathered the food, and the best from the jewellery and garments, and the Jews thought that (Syeda) Fatima-asws would enter with her-asws humble (clothes), and they intended to belittle her-asws with it. Jibraeel-as came with clothes from the Paradise and ornaments and garments, they had not seen the like of it. (Syeda) Fatima-asws wore these and ornamented with it. The people were astounded from its adornments, and its colours and its perfumes. When (Syeda) Fatima-asws entered the house of the Jew, their womenfolk prostrated to her-asws kissing the ground in front of her-asws, and a lot of people from the Jews became Muslims by that cause of what they had seen’’.
