Bihar al-Anwar · Allamah al-Majlisi
وَ قَالَ فِي الْفُصُولِ الْمُهِمَّةِ، وُلِدَ فِي سَنَةِ ثَمَانِينَ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ وَ قِيلَ سَنَةِ ثَلَاثٍ وَ ثَمَانِينَ وَ الْأَوَّلُ أَصَحُّ وَ مَاتَ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَ أَرْبَعِينَ وَ مِائَةٍ وَ لَهُ مِنَ الْعُمُرِ ثَمَانٌ وَ سِتُّونَ سَنَةً وَ يُقَالُ إِنَّهُ مَاتَ بِالسَّمِّ فِي أَيَّامِ الْمَنْصُورِ. وَ فِي تَارِيخِ الْغِفَارِيِّ، أَنَّهُ وُلِدَ فِي السَّابِعَ عَشَرَ مِنْ رَبِيعٍ الْأَوَّلِ.
And he said in ‘Al Fusool Al Muhimma’ –
‘He-asws was being blessed (to his parents-asws) in the year eighty from the Emigration. And it is said, the year eighty-three. And the first one is more correct, and he-asws passed away in the year one hundred and forty-eight, and for him-asws sixty-six years of age. He-asws passed by being poisoned during the days of Al-Mansour (caliph)’’. [3]
And in ‘Tareekh Al Gifary’ –
‘He-asws was being blessed (to his parents-asws) during seventeenth of Rabbi Al-Awwal’’. [4]
