Hadith 15

(The book) ‘Al Fazaail’ of Ibn Shazaan, ‘It is reported from the Imam Ja’far Al-Sadiq-asws, he-asws was seated in the Sanctuary in the standing place of Ibrahim-as, when an aged old man came. He had spent his lifetime in the disobedience. He looked at Al-Sadiq-asws. He said, ‘Best of the interceder(s) to Allah-azwj for the sinners! ’ He grabbed a curtain of the Kaaba and prosed saying, ‘By the right of the grandfather-saww of this one, O my Master! By the right of the Hashemite of Al-Bat’ha! By the right of the Zikr when it was Revealed to him-saww! By the right of his-saww successor-asws, the valiant hero! By the right of the Pure sons-asws of Ali-asws and their-asws mother-asws daughter-asws of the righteous, the pure! By the right of all the past Imams-asws being upon the manifesto of their-asws grandfather-saww! By the right of Al-Qaim-ajfj Al-Mahdi‑ajfj! Please Forgive the sins of the servant, the evil-doer! ’
He (the narrator) said, ‘A caller was heard saying, ‘O Sheykh! Your sins were mighty, but We‑azwj are Forgiving you entirety of your sins due to the sanctity of your interceder(s)! Even if you had asked for sins of (all) people of the earth, We-azwj would have Forgiven for them, apart from the slayer of the she-camel of Salih-as, and killer of the Prophets-as and the Pure Imam-asws! ”’[16]
