Man La Yahduruh al-Faqih · Shaykh al-Saduq
4227 - وَ قَالَ أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ صَلَوَاتُ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ: "اِتَّقُوا اَللَّهَ فِيمَا خَوَّلَكُمْ وَ فِي اَلْعُجْمِ مِنْ أَمْوَالِكُمْ" فَقِيلَ لَهُ وَ مَا اَلْعُجْمُ قَالَ "اَلشَّاةُ وَ اَلْبَقَرَةُ وَ اَلْحَمَامُ وَ أَشْبَاهُ ذَلِكَ".
Hadith. 4227 - Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, said: "Fear Allah (swt) regarding what He (swt) has entrusted to you, and regarding the 'Ajm' among your possessions. "
Imam (as) was asked: "What is meant by 'Ajm'? "
Imam (as) replied: "It refers to sheep, cattle, pigeons, and similar animals. "
