ما، الأمالي للشيخ الطوسي بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْبَاقِرِ ع عَنْ جَابِرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَدْنَاهُمْ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ بِمِنًى فَقَالَ لَا عَرَفْتُكُمْ تَرْجِعُونَ بَعْدِي كُفَّاراً يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ وَ ايْمُ اللَّهِ لَئِنْ فَعَلْتُمُوهَا لَتَعْرِفُنَّنِي فِي الْكَتِيبَةِ الَّتِي تُضَارِبُكُمْ
ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى خَلْفِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَوْ عَلِيٌّ أَوْ عَلِيٌّ أَوْ عَلِيٌّ
قَالَ جَابِرٌ فَرَأَيْنَا أَنَّ جَبْرَئِيلَ غَمَزَهُ وَ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَ بِعَلِيٍ أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِي وَعَدْناهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ مُقْتَدِرُونَ
ثُمَّ نَزَلَتْ قُلْ رَبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي ما يُوعَدُونَ رَبِّ فَلا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ وَ إِنَّا عَلى أَنْ نُرِيَكَ ما نَعِدُهُمْ لَقادِرُونَ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ
ثُمَّ نَزَلَتْ فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّذِي أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ أَمْرِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ إِنَّكَ عَلى صِراطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ وَ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ لَكَ وَ لِقَوْمِكَ وَ لَسَوْفَ تُسْأَلُونَ عَنْ مَحَبَّةِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ.
(The book) ‘Al Amaali’ of the sheykh Al Tusi – By this chain, ‘From Al-Baqir-asws, from Jabir Al-Ansari who said, ‘I-saww was the nearest of them from Rasool-Allah-saww during the farewell Hajj, at Mina. He-saww said: ‘I-saww didn’t know you would be returning to be Kafirs after me-saww, some of your striking the necks of others, and I-saww swear by Allah-azwj! if you were to do it, you will recognise me-saww in the battalion which will be striking your! ’
Then he-saww turned to behind him-saww, then said: ‘Or Ali-asws! Or Ali-asws! ’
Jabir said, ‘We saw that Jibraeel-as had indicated to him-saww, and Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic Revealed: So if We were to Take you away, We would still Take Revenge from them [43: 41] Or We will show you that which We Promised them, for We are Powerful upon them [43: 42]. Then it was Revealed: Say: ‘Lord! If You Show me what they are being threatened with [23: 93] Lord! Then do not Make me to be among the unjust people’ [23: 94] And We are well Able to Show you what We are Threatening them with [23: 95] Repel the evil by that which is best. [23: 96]. Then it was Revealed: Therefore adhere with that which is Revealed unto you, – from the matter of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws – surely you are upon a Straight Path [43: 43], and that Ali-asws has knowledge of the Hour for you and for your people, and soon you shall be Questioned [43: 44] – about the love of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws’’. [123]
