أَقُولُ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْحَدِيدِ فِي شَرْحِ نَهْجِ الْبَلَاغَةِ رَوَى إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دَيْزِيلَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ فِي كِتَابِ صِفِّينَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي غُنْيَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص فَانْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ نَعْلِهِ فَأَلْقَاهَا إِلَى عَلِيٍّ ع يُصْلِحُهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَى تَأْوِيلِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَا قَاتَلْتُ عَلَى تَنْزِيلِهِ
فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنَا هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ أَنَا هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَا وَ لَكِنَّهُ ذَاكُمْ خَاصِفُ النَّعْلِ
قَالَ وَ كَانَ يَدُ عَلِيٍّ ع عَلَى نَعْلِ النَّبِيِّ ص يُصْلِحُهَا قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلِيّاً فَبَشَّرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ فَلَمْ يَحْفِلْ بِهِ كَأَنَّهُ شَيْءٌ قَدْ كَانَ عَلِمَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ. وَ رَوَى ابْنُ دَيْزِيلَ فِي هَذَا الْكِتَابِ أَيْضاً عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْهَجَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي صَادِقٍ قَالَ: قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ الْعِرَاقَ فَأَهْدَتْ لَهُ الْأَزْدُ جُزُراً فَبَعَثُوهَا مَعِي فَدَخَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَ قُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا أَيُّوبَ قَدْ كَرَّمَكَ اللَّهُ بِصُحْبَةِ نَبِيِّهِ ص وَ نُزُولِهِ عَلَيْكَ فَمَا لِي أَرَاكَ تَسْتَقْبِلُ النَّاسَ بِسَيْفِكَ تُقَاتِلُهُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ مَرَّةً وَ هَؤُلَاءِ مَرَّةً
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ص عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَنْ نُقَاتِلَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ النَّاكِثِينَ فَقَدْ قَاتَلْنَاهُمْ وَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَنْ نُقَاتِلَ مَعَهُ الْقَاسِطِينَ فَهَذَا وَجْهُنَا إِلَيْهِمْ يَعْنِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَ أَصْحَابَهُ وَ عَهِدَ إِلَيْنَا أَنْ نُقَاتِلَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ الْمَارِقِينَ وَ لَمْ أَرِهِمْ بَعْدُ.
I (Majlisi) am saying, ‘Ibn Abi Al Hadeed said in commentary of (the book) ‘Nahj Al Balagah’ – It is reported by Ibrahim Bin Deyzil Al Hamdani, in the book ‘Sifeen’, from Yahya Bin Suleyman, from Yahya Bin Abdul Malik Bin Humeyd Bin Abu Uniya, from his father, from Ismail Bin Raja’a, from his father, and Muhammad Bin Al Fuzeyl, from Al Amsh, from Ismail Bin Raja’a, from Abu Saeed Al Khudri who said, ‘We were with Rasool-Allah-saww, and a strap of his-saww slipper was cut, so he-saww forwarded it towards Ali-asws to correct it. Then he-saww said: ‘From you there is one who will fight upon interpretation of the Quran just as I-saww fought upon its Revelation’. Abu Bakr said, ‘Am I he, O Rasool-Allah-saww? ’ He-saww said: ‘No’. Umar Bin Al-Khattab said, ‘Am I he, O Rasool-Allah-saww? ’ He-saww said: ‘No, but he is that one repairing the slipper’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And a hand of Ali-asws was upon a slipper of the Prophet-saww, correcting (repairing) it’. Abu Saeed said, ‘I came to Ali-asws to give him-asws glad tidings of that but he-asws did not pay any attention to it, as if it was a thing which he-asws had known from before’’. [158]
And it is reported by Ibn Deyzil in this book as well, from Yahya Bin Suleyman, from Ibn Fuzeyl, from Ibrahim Bin Al Hajary, from Abu Sadiq who said, ‘Abu Ayoub Al-Ansary arrived to us at Al-Iraq and Al-Azd gifted a camel to him and he sent it with me. I entered to see him and greeted unto him and said to him, ‘O Abu Ayoub! Allah-azwj has Honoured you with accompaniment of His-azwj Prophet-saww, and his-asws lodging upon you. So, what is the matter I see you are facing the people with your sword to sometimes fight these ones, and sometimes those ones’. He said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww had made a pact to us that we should fight alongside Ali-asws against the allegiance-breakers, so we have fought them, and he-saww made a pact to us that we should fight the deviants with him-asws, so this is we are heading to them, meaning Muawiya and his companions, and he-saww had made a pact to us that we should fight the renegades with Ali-asws, and I have not seen them yet’’. [159]
