ع، علل الشرائع مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الشَّيْبَانِيُ عَنِ الْأَسَدِيِّ عَنِ الْبَرْمَكِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْمَرْوَزِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا سَدَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص الْأَبْوَابَ الشَّارِعَةَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ إِلَّا بَابَ عَلِيٍّ ضَجَّ أَصْحَابُهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لِمَ سَدَدْتَ أَبْوَابَنَا وَ تَرَكْتَ بَابَ هَذَا الْغُلَامِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى أَمَرَنِي بِسَدِّ أَبْوَابِكُمْ وَ تَرْكِ بَابِ عَلِيٍّ فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا مُتَّبِعٌ لِمَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ مِنْ رَبِّي.
(The book) ‘Illal Al Sharaie’ – Muhammad Bin Ahmad Al Shaybani, from Al Asady, from Al Barmakky, from Abdullah Bin Ahmad, from Suleyman Bin Hafs Al Marouzy, from Amro Bin Sabit, from Sa’ad Bin Tareyf, from Saeed Bin Jubeyr, from Ibn Abbas who said, ‘When Rasool-Allah-saww closed off the doors opening to the Masjid except the door of Ali-asws, his-saww companions clamoured from that. They said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! Why did you-saww close down our doors and left the door of this boy-asws? ’ He-saww said: ‘Allah-azwj Blessed and Exalted Closed your doors and Left the door of Ali-asws, for rather I-saww am a follower of whatever is Revealed to me-saww from my-saww Lord-azwj’’.
