Chapter on Prohibition of Shedding Blood and Taking Wealth Unlawfully, the Prohibition of Engaging in the Impermissible, and Repentance From Killing Whether Intentional or Accidental — الحديث 5167

5167 - وَ رَوَى حَمَّادٌ عَنِ اَلْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: فِي رَجُلٍ قَتَلَ رَجُلاً مَمْلُوكاً مُتَعَمِّداً قَالَ "يُغَرَّمُ قِيمَتَهُ وَ يُضْرَبُ ضَرْباً شَدِيداً" وَ قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ قَتَلَ مَمْلُوكَهُ قَالَ "يُعْتِقُ رَقَبَةً وَ يَصُومُ "شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتٰابِعَيْنِ" وَ يُطْعِمُ سِتِّينَ مِسْكِيناً ثُمَّ اَلتَّوْبَةُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ".
Hadith. 5167 - Hammad narrated from Al-Halabi from Abu Abdullah (as) regarding a man who intentionally kills another man's slave. Imam (as) said: "He must pay the value of the slave and be severely beaten. "
And regarding a man who kills his own slave, Imam (as) said: "He must free a slave, fast for two consecutive months, and feed sixty needy people, and then repent after that. "
