Bihar al-Anwar · Allamah al-Majlisi
وَ يُؤَيِّدُهُ مَا رَوَاهُ فِي الطَّرَائِفِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُؤْمِنٍ الشِّيرَازِيِّ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ قَالَ: كَانَ يَقْرَأُ هَذَا الْحَرْفَ هَذَا صِرَاطُ عَلِيٍّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ فَقُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ مَا مَعْنَاهُ قَالَ يَقُولُ هَذَا طَرِيقُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَ دِينُهُ طَرِيقٌ وَ دِينٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَ تَمَسَّكُوا بِهِ فَإِنَّهُ وَاضِحٌ لَا عِوَجَ فِيهِ.
And it is supported by what is reported in (the book) ‘Al Taraif’ – Muhammad Bin Momin Al Shirazi, by his chain, from Qatada, from Al Hassan Al Basri, he (the narrator) said, ‘He used to recite the phrase: “This Path of Ali is Straight” [15: 41]’’. I said to Al-Hassan, ‘What is it meaning? ’ He said, ‘This is the way of Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws, and his-asws Religion is a way and a straight Religion, therefore follow him-asws and adhere with him-asws, for he-asws is clear, there is no crookedness in him-asws’’.
