Hadith 583

(The book) ‘Kifayat Al-Aser – Abu Al-Mufazzal Al-Shaybani, from Muhammad Bin Ali Bin Shazan, from Al-Hassan Bin Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahid, from Al-Hassan Bin Al-Husayn Al-Urny, from Yahya Bin Ya’la, from Umar Bin Musa, ‘From Zayd son of Ali-asws (Bin Al-Husayn-asws) who said, ‘I was in the presence of Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws when Jabir Bin Abdullah Al-Ansari entered to see him-asws. While he was discussing with him-asws when my brother-asws Muhammad-asws came out from one of the rooms. Jabir stared with his eyes towards him-asws, then stood up to him-asws and said: ‘O boy, come! ’ He-asws came. Then he-asws said: ‘Turn around! ’ He-asws turned around. He said, ‘Etiquettes like the etiquettes of Rasool-Allah-saww! What is your-asws name, O boy? ’ He-asws said: ‘Muhammad-saww’. He said, ‘Son-asws of who? ’ He-asws said: ‘Son of Ali-asws Bin Al-Husayn-asws Bin Ali-asws Bin Abu Talib-asws’. He said, ‘Then, you-asws are Al-Baqir-asws’. He (the narrator) said, ‘He devoted to him-asws, and kissed his-asws head and his-asws hand, then said, ‘O Muhammad-asws! Rasool-Allah-saww conveys the greetings to you-saww’. He-asws said: ‘Upon Rasool-Allah-saww be the superior greetings, and upon you, O Jabir due to your delivering the greetings’. He returned to his prayer mat and went on to discuss with my father-asws and saying, ‘One day Rasool-Allah-saww said to me: ‘O Jabir! When you meet my-saww son-asws Al-Baqir-asws, then convey to him-asws the greetings from me-saww, for he-asws is of my-saww name and most resembling of the people with me-asws. His-asws knowledge is my-saww knowledge, and his-asws decision is my-saww decision, and seven from his-asws sons-asws are trustees, infallible, Imams-asws of the righteous, and the seventh is their-asws Mahdi-asws who will fill the world with fairness and justice, just as it had been filled with tyranny and injustice’. Then Rasool-Allah-saww recited: And We made them as Imams guiding by Our Command and We Revealed unto them the doing of good, and establishing the Salat, and giving the Zakat, and they worshipped Us [21: 73]’’.
