السَّلاَمُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ الْمَظْلُومِ الشَّهِيدِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَى أَسِيرِ الْكُرُبَاتِ وَقَتِيلِ الْعَبَرَاتِ. اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ وَلِيُّكَ وَابْنُ وَلِيِّكَ وَصَفِيُّكَ وَابْنُ صَفِيِّكَ الْفَائِزُ بِكَرَامَتِكَ. أَكْرَمْتَهُ بِالشَّهَادَةِ وَحَبَوْتَهُ بِالسَّعَادَةِ وَاجْتَبَيْتَهُ بِطِيبِ الْوِلاَدَةِ. وَجَعَلْتَهُ سَيِّداً مِنَ السَّادَةِ وَقَائِداً مِنَ الْقَادَةِ وَذَائِداً مِنَ الذَّادَةِ.
Peace be upon al-Ḥusayn, the oppressed, the martyr. Peace be upon the captive of afflictions and the victim of tears. O God, I bear witness that he is Your guardian and the son of Your guardian, Your chosen and the son of Your chosen, the one triumphant through Your honor. You honored him with martyrdom, bestowed upon him happiness, and chose him through the purity of his birth. You made him a master among masters, a leader among leaders, and a defender among defenders.
