الْإِقْبَالُ، رَوَيْنَا بِإِسْنَادِنَا إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ: فَإِذَا قُمْتَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَكَبِّرْ وَ قُلِ- اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَ ابْنُ عَبْدَيْكَ هَارِبٌ مِنْكَ إِلَيْكَ أَتَيْتُكَ وَافِداً إِلَيْكَ تَائِباً مِنْ ذُنُوبِي إِلَيْكَ زَائِراً لَكَ وَ حَقُّ الزَّائِرِ عَلَى الْمَزُورِ التُّحْفَةُ فَاجْعَلْ تُحْفَتِي مِنْكَ وَ تُحْفَتَكَ لِي رِضَاكَ وَ الْجَنَّةَ
اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَظَّمْتَ حُرْمَةَ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنَ أَيْ رَبِّ وَ جَعَلْتَ فِيهِ لَيْلَةً خَيْراً مِنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ ثُمَّ مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ بِصِيَامِهِ وَ قِيَامِهِ فِيمَا مَنَنْتَ عَلَيَّ فَتَمِّمْ عَلَيَّ مَنَّكَ وَ رَحْمَتَكَ
أَيْ رَبِّ إِنَّ لَكَ فِيهِ عُتَقَاءَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ مِمَّنْ أَعْتَقْتَنِي فِيهِ فَتَمِّمْ عَلَيَّ وَ لَا تَرُدَّنِي فِي ذَنْبٍ مَا أَبْقَيْتَنِي وَ إِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ فَعَلْتَ يَا رَبِّ لِضَعْفِ عَمَلٍ أَوْ لِعِظَمِ ذَنْبٍ فَبِكَرَمِكَ وَ فَضْلِكَ وَ رَحَمَاتِكَ
وَ كِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ- لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ وَ مَا أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهَا وَ حُرْمَةَ مَنْ عَظَّمْتَ فِيهَا وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِمَا سَلَامُكَ وَ صَلَوَاتُكَ
وَ بِكَ يَا اللَّهُ أَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ وَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ مَنْ بَعْدَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَتَوَجَّهُ بِكُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَا اللَّهُ أَعْتِقْنِي فِيمَنْ أَعْتَقْتَ السَّاعَةَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ ص.
(The book) ‘Al Iqbal’ –
‘We are reporting with our chain to Abu Abdullah-asws having said: ‘When you stand for the Salat facing the Qiblah, exclaim Takbeer and say, ‘O Allah-azwj! I am Your-azwj servant and son of Your-azwj servant, fleeing from You-azwj to You-azwj! I have come to You-azwj repenting to You‑azwj from my sins, a visitor to You-azwj, and there is a right of the visitor upon the visited of the gift, therefore Make my gift from You-azwj and Your-azwj Gift to me be Your-azwj Satisfaction and the Paradise! O Allah-azwj! Then You-azwj Magnified sanctity of the month of Ramazan, then You-azwj Sent down the Quran in it! Yes Lord-azwj, and You-azwj Made in it Laylat Al-Qadr as being better than a thousand months, then You-azwj Conferred upon me with its fasting and its standing (for Salat) among what You-azwj Conferred upon me, so Complete upon me Your-azwj Conferment and Your-azwj Mercy! Yes Lord-azwj! There are liberated ones for You-azwj during it, so if I have been from the ones You-azwj will be Liberating me during it, then Complete upon me and do not Let me return into sin for as long as You-azwj Cause me to remain, and if You-azwj are not going to be doing so due to my weak deeds, or major sins, then by You-azwj Benevolence, and Your-azwj Grace, and Your Mercy! And Your-azwj Book which You-azwj Sent down in the month of Ramazan, on Laylat Al-Qadr, and what You-azwj Revealed in it, and Sanctity of the one You-azwj have Magnified in it, and by Muhammad-saww and Ali-asws, may Your-azwj Greeting and Your-azwj Salawaat be upon them-asws! And with You-azwj, O Allah-azwj, I divert to You-azwj, and by Muhammad-saww and the ones-asws after him-saww, may the Salawaat of Allah-azwj be upon him-saww and upon them-asws! I divert with you-asws all to Allah-azwj! O Allah-azwj! Liberate me right now among the ones You-azwj Liberate through Muhammad-saww! ’’[10]
