يج، الخرائج و الجرائح رُوِيَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ع قَالَ: لَمَّا خَرَجْنَا إِلَى خَيْبَرَ فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِوَادٍ ملأ [مَلْآنَ] مَاءً فَقَدَّرْنَاهُ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ قَامَةً فَقَالَ النَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْعَدُوُّ مِنْ وَرَائِنَا وَ الْوَادِي أَمَامَنَا كَمَا قالَ أَصْحابُ مُوسى إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ
فَنَزَلَ ص فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ جَعَلْتَ لِكُلِّ مُرْسَلٍ عَلَامَةً فَأَرِنَا قُدْرَتَكَ فَرَكِبَ وَ عَبَرَتِ الْخَيْلُ وَ الْإِبِلُ لَا تَنْدَى حَوَافِرُهَا وَ أَخْفَافُهَا فَفَتَحُوهُ.
(The book) ‘Al-Kharaij Wa Al-Jaraih’ – ‘It is reported from Ali-asws having said: ’ When we went out to Khyber, there we were by a valley filled with water, and we measured it and it was of fourteen statures. The people said, ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! The enemies are behind us and the valley is in front of us’, just as the companions of Musa said, ‘We are being overtaken’ [26: 61]. He-saww said: ‘O Allah-azwj! You-saww Made a sign to be for every Messenger-as. Show us Your-azwj Power’. He-saww rode and the cavalry crossed over, and (so did) the camels, without even wetting their hooves and their shoes. They conquered it’’. [30]
