وَ عَنْ مُطَّلِبِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ كَثِيرٍ النَّوَّاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لِعَائِشَةَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكِ يَا أُمَّهْ أَ لَسْنَا وُلَاةَ بَعْلِكِ أَ وَ لَيْسَ قَدْ ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ الْحِجَابَ عَلَيْكِ أَ وَ لَيْسَ قَدْ أُوتِيتِ أَجْرَكِ مَرَّتَيْنِ
قَالَتْ بَلَى قَالَ فَمَا أَخْرَجَكِ عَلَيْنَا مَعَ مُنَافِقِي قُرَيْشٍ قَالَتْ كَانَ قَدَراً يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ وَ كَانَتْ أُمُّنَا تُؤْمِنُ بِالْقَدَرِ.
And from Muttalib Bin Ziyad, from Kaseer Al Nawa who said, ‘Ibn Abbas said to Ayesha, ‘Greetings be unto you, O mother! Aren’t we the rulers of your husband-saww? Or hasn’t Allah-azwj Struck the veil upon you? Or haven’t you been given your recompense twice? ’
She said, ‘Yes’. He said, ‘So what made you come out against us with the hypocrites of Quraysh? ’ She said, ‘It was destiny, O Ibn Abbas! ’ He said, ‘And you were our mother believing in the destiny? ’’[92]
