Hadith 278

(The book) ‘Al Majaalis of Al Mufeed – Al Jiany, from Ibn Uqdah, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Bin Marwan, from his father, from Ibrahim Bin Al Hakam, from Al Masoudy, from Al Haris Bin Haseyra, from Imran Bin Al-Husayn who said, ‘I and Umar Bin Al-Khattab were seated in the presence of the Prophet-saww and Ali-asws was seated to his-saww side, when Rasool-Allah-saww recited: Or, One Who Answers the distressed one when he supplicates to Him and He Removes the evil, and He will Make you to be Caliphs of the earth! Is there a god along with Allah? Little is what you heed [27: 62]. He (the narrator) said, ‘Ali-asws rose up like the rising of the sparrow. The Prophet-saww said to him-asws: ‘What is your-asws affair, being alarmed? ’ He-asws said: ‘Why should I-asws not be alarmed, and Allah-azwj is Saying He-azwj will be Making us caliphs of the earth? ’
The Prophet-saww said to him-asws: ‘Do not be alarmed, for by Allah-azwj, no one will love you-asws except a Momin, nor hate you-asws except a hypocrite’’. [94]
(The books) ‘Jamie Al Fawaid’ and ‘Taweel Al Ayaat Al Zaahira’ – Muhammad Bin Al Abbas, from Is’haq Bin Muhammad Bin Marwan, from his father, from Abdullah Bin Khuneys, from Sabbah Al Muzanny, from Al Haris Bin Haseyra, from Abu Dawood, from Bureyda who said, ‘Rasool-Allah-saww said, and Ali-asws was to his-saww side: ‘Or, One Who Answers [27: 62] up to his-saww words: ‘No Momin will hate you-asws nor will a Kafir love you-asws’’.
