الحديث 45

وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ بَعْضِ الثِّقَاتِ الْأَخْيَارِ أَنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ ع دَخَلَا يَوْمَ عِيدٍ إِلَى حُجْرَةِ جَدِّهِمَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ص فَقَالا يَا جَدَّاهْ الْيَوْمُ يَوْمُ الْعِيدِ وَ قَدْ تَزَيَّنَ أَوْلَادُ الْعَرَبِ بِأَلْوَانِ اللِّبَاسِ وَ لَبِسُوا جَدِيدَ الثِّيَابِ وَ لَيْسَ لَنَا ثَوْبٌ جَدِيدٌ وَ قَدْ تَوَجَّهْنَا لِذَلِكَ إِلَيْكَ
فَتَأَمَّلَ النَّبِيُّ حَالَهُمَا وَ بَكَى وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ عِنْدَهُ فِي الْبَيْتِ ثِيَابٌ يَلِيقُ بِهِمَا وَ لَا رَأَى أَنْ يَمْنَعَهُمَا فَيَكْسِرَ خَاطِرَهُمَا فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ وَ قَالَ إِلَهِي اجْبُرْ قَلْبَهُمَا وَ قَلْبَ أُمِّهِمَا
فَنَزَلَ جَبْرَئِيلُ وَ مَعَهُ حُلَّتَانِ بَيْضَاوَانِ مِنْ حُلَلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَسُرَّ النَّبِيُّ ص وَ قَالَ لَهُمَا يَا سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ خُذَا أَثْوَاباً خَاطَهَا خَيَّاطُ الْقُدْرَةِ عَلَى قَدْرِ طُولِكُمَا
فَلَمَّا رَأَيَا الْخِلَعَ بِيضاً قَالا يَا جَدَّاهْ كَيْفَ هَذَا وَ جَمِيعُ صِبْيَانِ الْعَرَبِ لَابِسُونَ أَلْوَانَ الثِّيَابِ فَأَطْرَقَ النَّبِيُّ سَاعَةً مُتَفَكِّراً فِي أَمْرِهِمَا فَقَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ طِبْ نَفْساً وَ قَرَّ عَيْناً إِنَّ صَابِغَ صِبْغَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقْضِي لَهُمَا هَذَا الْأَمْرَ وَ يُفَرِّحُ قُلُوبَهُمَا بِأَيِّ لَوْنٍ شَاءَا فَأْمُرْ يَا مُحَمَّدُ بِإِحْضَارِ الطَّسْتِ وَ الْإِبْرِيقِ
فَأُحْضِرَا فَقَالَ جَبْرَئِيلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا أَصُبُّ الْمَاءَ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْخِلَعِ وَ أَنْتَ تَفْرُكُهُمَا بِيَدِكَ فَتُصْبَغُ لَهُمَا بِأَيِّ لَوْنٍ شَاءَا فَوَضَعَ النَّبِيُّ حُلَّةَ الْحَسَنِ
And it is reported from one of the good trustworthy, ‘One the day of Eid Al-Hassan-asws and Al-Husayn-asws entered to a chamber of their-asws grandfather-saww Rasool-Allah-saww. They-asws said: ‘O grandfather-saww! Today is the day of Eid, and the children of the Arabs have adorned with a variety of clothes, and they are wearing new clothes, and there are no new clothes for us-asws, and for that we-asws have headed to you-saww’. The Prophet-saww meditated upon their-asws situation and cried, and there did not happen to be any clothes in the house appropriate for them-asws (for Eid), not could he-saww view of refusing them-asws and break their-asws hearts. He-saww supplicated to his-as Lord-azwj and said: ‘My-saww God-azwj! Oblige their-asws hearts and heart of their-asws mother-asws! ’
Jibraeel-as descended and with him-as were two white garments from the garments of Paradise. The Prophet-saww was cheered and said to them-asws: ‘O chiefs of the youths of the people of Paradise! Take these two garments to a tailor to sew it upon a measurement of your-asws tallness (size)’. When they-asws saw the white (colour) only, they-asws said: ‘O grandfather-saww! How is this, and entirety of the Arab children are wearing different colours of clothes? ’ The Prophet-saww lowered his-saww head for a while thinking regarding their-asws matter. Jibraeel-as said: ‘O Muhammad-saww! Make yourself-saww feel good and delight the eyes that a dyer of Allah-azwj Mighty and Majestic will fulfil this matter for them-asws and cheer their-asws hearts with whichever colour they-asws desire. So, instruct, O Muhammad-saww with presentation of the tray and the pitcher’. They were presented. Jibraeel-as said: ‘O Rasool-Allah-saww! I-as shall pour the water upon this side and you-saww rub these with your-saww hands, so you-saww can dye for them-asws with whichever colour they-a
