(The book) ‘Rijaal’ of Al Kashy – Jibraeel Bin Ahmad, from Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Mihran, from Ahmad Bin Al Nazr, from Abdullah Bin Yazeed Al Asady, from Fuzeyl Bin Al Zubeyr who said, ‘Meesam Al-Tammar-ra passed by Habeeb-ra Bin Muzahir-ra on a horse of his-ra at a gathering of the clan of Asad. They-ra discussed until the necks of their-ra horses were touching. Then Habeeb-ra said, ‘It is as if I-ra am with a Sheikh of short hair, large belly selling melons at the house of livelihood, having been crucified in the love of the People-asws of the Household of his Prophet-saww, and his stomach is disembowelled upon the plank’. Meesam-ra said, ‘And I-ra know of a man, two braids are reddened for him, going out to help the son-asws of the daughter-asws of his Prophet-saww, and he gets killed and his head taken to Al-Kufa’. Then they-ra separated. The people of the gathering said, ‘We have not seen anyone more lying than these two’. He (the narrator) said, ‘The people of the gathering had not even dispersed until Rusheyd Al-Hajary-ra came searching for them. He-ra asked the people of the gathering about them-ra. They said, ‘They separated, and we heard them-asws saying such and such’. Rusheyd-ra said, ‘May Allah-azwj have Mercy on Meesam-ra. He-ra forgot, and there would be an increase in the award for the one who comes with the head, of one hundred Dirhams’. Then he turned back. The people said, ‘By Allah-azwj! This one is most lying of them-ra! ’ The people said, ‘By Allah‑azwj! The days and the nights died not pass by until he-ra was crucified upon the door of Amro Bin Hureys, and the head of Habeeb Bin Muzahir-ra was brought, and he-ra had been killed with Al-Husayn-asws, and we saw all what they had said. And Habeeb-ra was from the seventy men, the ones who helped Al-Husayn-asws, and they-ra had faced a mountain of iron and faced the spears with their-ra chests, and the swords with their faces, and they-ra are those, the amnesty and the wealth was presented to them-ra, but they‑ra had refused. They-ra said, ‘There is no excuse for us-ra in the presence of Rasool-Allah-saww if Al-Husayn-asws is killed, and from us-asws there is an eye still blinking’, until they-asws were killed around him-asws. And Habeeb Bin Muzahir Al-Asady-ra was talking jokingly. Yazeed Bin Huseen Al-Hamdany-ra said to him-ra, and he-ra was called ‘Chief of the readers’, ‘O my-ra brother-ra! This isn’t the time for laughing’. He-ra said, ‘So which place is more rightful than this for the cheerfulness? By Allah-azwj! It is not except for these ordinary people to incline against us with their swords, so we-ra be hugging the Maiden Houries’’. [48]
